A Message From the Superintendent

Welcome to the Fall 2023 edition of our community magazine, EMS Proud! As I’m sure you’ve noticed, EMS Proud is now a special edition of 287 North Living. We’re excited to partner with the only magazine publication dedicated to covering the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw area. By moving to this format, we can still publish EMS Proud in the fall and spring, but with the distribution power of our partners at 287 North Living, our district magazine will now reach our entire community.

As a result, for many of you reading this, it may be the first time you’ve read EMS Proud, or maybe even the first time you’ve read anything about Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD. I want to invite you to take advantage of all our school district offers to make our community a great place to live. Our fine arts performances, from theatre to band to choir to the arts, are top-notch. Whether you love tapping your toe to the sounds of jazz, relaxing to a classical wind ensemble, or love musical theatre, EMS ISD has high-quality, affordable entertainment for you. If it’s rooting on the local team that you enjoy, then look no further than an EMS ISD athletics. Whether you’re cheering on the Boswell Pioneers, Chisholm Trail Rangers, or the Saginaw Rough Riders, or beginning in August 2024, the Eagle Mountain Knights, our students compete in a wide range of sports, and nothing fuels them more than a packed stadium or gym with an encouraging home crowd. Additionally, EMS ISD playgrounds, fields, and tracks are open to the public for individual and family use when school is not in session. For larger groups or organized activities, these facilities can also be rented. You can even book an appointment in our Cosmetology Salon or Automotive Shop at the Hollenstein Career and Technology Center.

Thank you for taking a look through EMS Proud to learn about a few of the great things happening in EMS ISD. For more great stories, fine arts and athletic calendars, information about all our schools, world-class educators, and personalized opportunities we provide for students, please visit www.emsisd.com.

Respectfully,

Jim F. Chadwell, Ed.D.
