In EMS ISD, the excitement is building!
As spring settles across North Texas, this time of year brings a renewed sense of energy to our schools. Classrooms are active, campuses are full of purpose and our students are stepping into some of the most meaningful moments of their academic year. It’s a season of growth in every sense of the word.
One of the most important factors behind that growth continues to be something simple, but powerful, attendance. When students are in school, on time, and engaged in learning each day, they build habits and skills that lead to long-term success. Every lesson, every conversation, and every opportunity to practice matters. Our goal remains clear; every student grows at least one year, every year, and that growth begins with students showing up on time, ready to learn.
We are especially encouraged by the progress we are seeing in our classrooms this year. With the implementation of new high quality instructional resources in math and English Language Arts, students across EMS ISD are demonstrating stronger reading skills, deeper comprehension, and increased confidence in problem-solving. In our youngest grades, the growth is especially exciting. Students are using richer vocabulary and building a strong foundation of comprehension that will support them for years to come. It is a reflection of the high level of learning taking place across our district and the dedication of our teachers and staff.
This is also one of the most exciting times of the year for student achievement beyond the classroom. Across Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD, students are competing and performing at the highest levels in athletics, fine arts and Career and Technical Education. From regional competitions to state-level recognition, our students continue to represent our community with excellence, talent and pride. These accomplishments are worth celebrating, not only for the honors earned, but for the hard work, discipline and commitment they represent.
What makes all of this possible is the strong partnership between our schools, families and community. When we work together, supporting attendance, encouraging learning at home, and celebrating student success, we create an environment where every child has the
opportunity to thrive. Strong, supported public schools remain a
cornerstone of a strong community.
