Celebrating Saginaw’s Very Own Centenarian

On June 17, Faye Flory, a beloved resident of Bristol Park at Eagle Mountain, celebrated her 100th birthday. Faye was surrounded by friends, family, and community members who came together to mark this joyful occasion.

Special thanks go to David Goodman and the team at Fort Worth Hospice, who helped ensure the day was filled with amazing decorations, friends & fun.

A longtime resident of Lake Worth/Saginaw, Faye is the oldest living graduate of Lake Worth High School, proudly representing the Class of 1925. To honor her incredible life and legacy, the City of Lake Worth once again proclaimed “Faye Flory Day,” a recognition first given to her 10 years ago on her 90th birthday and renewed in 2025 to celebrate her centennial. Her son, David Flory, graciously accepted the city’s proclamation on behalf of the family and had the honor of presenting it to Faye during her birthday celebration.

Also, at the June 17 Saginaw City Council meeting, the council had the honor of celebrating Faye as a true Saginaw treasure.  Born in Fort Worth and a proud resident of Saginaw for the past 51 years, Faye has touched countless lives through her faith, love, and unwavering service. Alongside her beloved husband, Rev. Wayne E. Flory, she raised five children and helped shape a legacy that now includes 19 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

In recognition of her remarkable life and lifelong dedication to our community, Mayor Todd Flippo and the Saginaw City Council also officially declared June 17, 2025, as “Faye Flory Day.”  Though Faye was unable to attend the meeting after a joyful day full of celebration, her loving family proudly stood in her place.

Please join us in honoring a century of love, faith, family, and community.

Happy 100th Birthday, Faye!
